What happens if…
I totally get it — life happens. Kids get sick, storms roll in, dogs eat memory cards (kidding, mostly). Here’s how I handle cancellations and refunds so we stay on the same page and good vibes remain intact.
Deposits:
All session deposits are non-refundable. They lock in your date, location, and creative brainpower on my end — which means I turn down other work to hold that time for you. If you need to reschedule, I’m happy to move your deposit to a new date once (with at least 72 hours’ notice).
I’m also not satan. If an issue arises and we need to discuss a refund, we can do so via email; however, the decision remains at my discretion.
Cancellations:
If you cancel more than 4 days before your session, you won’t be charged the remaining amount. If you cancel within 4 days, you are on the hook for either the full amount or we will reschedule to another date.
Rescheduling:
Weather in Texas loves to test our patience. If it’s raining, 107 degrees, or tornado-adjacent, we’ll reschedule at no cost. Same goes for genuine emergencies — I’m human too.
No-Shows:
If you ghost me on shoot day (it happens), the session fee is forfeited. Let’s not be those people — just shoot me a text, and we’ll figure it out.
Weddings & Events:
Weddings have their own rhythm and planning energy. Deposits for weddings and elopements are non-refundable. Final balances are due one week before the event. Cancellations less than 15 days before the wedding date are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another service (like an anniversary or lifestyle session) if available.
Refunds:
Since photography is a creative service, refunds aren’t offered once your gallery is delivered. But if something feels off — maybe you blinked in every photo, or your toddler decided to make every shot performance art — please reach out. I’ll always do my best to make it right with edits, reshoots, or extra images where possible.
TL;DR:
Deposits hold your spot.
Cancellations need communication.
Mother Nature gets a pass.
And I always aim to leave you with photos you love (and actually print).
Gifts
If a shoot was marked as a gift when purchased, you’ll receive an email and the same cancellation policy applies.
